Prototyping &
Industrialization
Cofidur EMS supports you from the early phase of your product’s conception, development, and industrialization.
At Cofidur EMS, we support you from the early stages of product development and industrialization. We offer technical and environmental feasibility advice, recommendations, and information on construction rules to limit process risks. We also provide assistance during the implantation/routing phases or even the routing of printed circuit boards.
We also offer our expertise for the industrialization of your products, including electronic boards, cables, and assemblies.
From PCB routing to prototype production, our teams use methods and tools to control the quality and development timelines of your products, and ultimately their series cost.
Purchasing
Our purchasing department is structured in agile mode, meaning that it can simultaneously support the development of our clients (accountability by project) and make specialists available for each purchasing area (PEMCO, Semiconductor, Mechanical, PCB, etc.) thereby enabling us to respond to specific issues and detailed negotiations from the prospecting phase to the production stage of the different activities.
Several strategic axes are identified in purchasing management to support our Supply Chain teams and our clients :
01
Risk and portfolio management
This involves anticipating and addressing as far as possible any procurement-related risks and weaknesses in the component-purchasing and custom-made-part-supply markets, then offering and putting in place the appropriate actions:
– Securing critical components and suppliers (on ongoing and upcoming projects)
– Proposing alternative solutions and managing obsolescence (PCN, EOL, Management, etc.)
– EMEA / Asia portfolio strategy (benchmarking, monitoring and technological roadmap, double sourcing, make or buy, securing, etc.)
– Communicating and forecasting market stress based on our visibility (purchasing barometer, etc.)
02
Negotiation and steering purchasing conditions
Our teams globalise requirements via annual or project-based negotiations so they can control purchasing conditions (quality, cost and time) and our suppliers and partners’ compliance with commitments.
Steering performance and commitments are key points in terms of managing our suppliers. Using tools to exchange and check KPIs, we regularly discuss results, difficulties and improvement actions to be implemented (8D, PDCA, audit, performance review, etc.).
03
Supplier qualification and assessment
We have implemented a comprehensive process intended to select, assess and qualify suppliers so we can validate their command of know-how and methods of control, financial health, and so on. The suppliers are assessed and placed (in a ranking) every year according to performance and service criteria in order to foster continuous improvement and tailor our purchasing strategy.
Supply chain
Structured by activity, our Supply Chain is dedicated to the customer to accompany each one as specifically and efficiently as possible. It is dynamic, flexible, responsive and focused on fulfilling our commitments. It manages the entire logistics chain: order taking, planning and scheduling, procurement from over 200 suppliers, inventory management and optimization, as well as deliveries of our products and services in Europe and beyond.
To achieve this, we have a recognized, reliable and adapted information system (SAP), a proven methodology, and a data communication method that secures exchanges. Our organization enables a close management of our customers’ demands, in a collaborative way. It operates at the shortest possible production, resource, and shipping deadlines.
Production
Always more efficient, our industrial tool is homogeneous & complementary.
At Cofidur EMS, we are a Made in France partner for our clients in various industries that require precision, adaptability, and performance. Our production is driven by operational performance rituals. Operational excellence is part of our daily routine with a structured Lean program based on the best industrial practices. Visual management allows us to share and improve our performance continuously, managed by the trio of Mastery, Methods & Quality.
